Riding Lessons
Burnt Ash Farm offers a relaxed,
friendly environment for children to learn to ride & gain confidence in
handling ponies. We specialise in training children, however we
occasionally provide horses for adults to ride in the school.
Jeanne teaches most of
the lessons, she is a BHS AI registered instructor & a level 2 coach
with over 15 years experience teaching & a lifetime of owning her own
horses.
We have had many children
pass through the yard to eventually own their own pony or be fortunate
enough to have a pony on loan to them & stable it here or elsewhere.
Much of the tuition is on a one to one basis, meaning the young riders
generally learn a lot faster until they are competent enough to ride
without too much instruction, just under close supervision.
We also encourage our
adults to become members of The British Horse Society, a few of which aim
to train to take riding & teaching exams in the future
