You can explore over
600 acres of Minchinhampton & Rodborough Commons, Cirencester Park
& many other quiet locations this area has to offer.
Your Horse can be
stabled with hay & bedding provided whilst you can stay in your Lorry,
horse trailer, trailer tent or even from spring 2011 our new shepherd
hut.
From Summer
2011 our new toilets & shower changing rooms should be complete to make
your stay at Burnt Ash more comfortable.
We also neighbour
Gatcombe Park, so occasionally have horses stay for the festival of british
eventing & the Gatcombe novice horse trials as it is just 2-3 minutes
away by road.
We are less than 100 meters from a 17th
century coaching inn named, The Ragged Cot which provides
restaurant, bar & accommodation. Or slightly further a field on
Minchinhampton common there is The
Halfway House & The
Lodge. Booking in advance is always advised.
There is
also a Chip shop in the village which is a 15 minute walk if your horse
lorry does not negotiate narrow streets well.
Or if
you want locally produced foods for your own catering, our neighbouring
farm at Woefuldane has a unique shop in the village selling home produced
Organic Milk, Eggs & Cheese along with locally produced bread. There
produce can be delivered daily to Burnt Ash or purchased from there village shop. They also sell the
famous locally produced Winstones
Ice cream.
